If you aren’t going to wear your watch for a while, it’s best to clean it thoroughly, remove any perspiration or other moisture from it, and then put it away somewhere cool and dry.

Keep in mind that your watch is worn right up against your skin like any other piece of clothing. Maintaining a clean watch and band by wiping them down on a regular basis with a soft cloth will keep them free of dust, sweat, water, and other contaminants and allow them to perform at their maximum potential.

• If your watch gets dirty from dirt or saltwater, wash it in clean water immediately.
